Food is now my friend. I used to be so intimidated by the act of cooking, still am a bit, but feel like I have a newfound relationship with food. The motivating factor for my leap into the culinary world was my husband (who will subsequently, for the purpose of this blog, be referred to as Biz). As soon as he moved in with me, my nesting gene was awakened. I began searching for and trying out new recipes more than I ever had before. 

Most of my finds come from Pinterest, but I hope to branch out and create recipes of my own to share with you.  I like easy, no fuss recipes that are full of flavor and don’t require a bunch of fancy equipment.  Now that I'm older I've begun incorporating more flavor profiles and learning what foods can provide quality nourishment.  This exploration has led to an expansion of the staples in my cooking catalog and helps to squash the intimidation factor. 

I plan on using this blog to share my  culinary discovery process with you and invite you to share yours with me.  I will conduct an "interview" of sorts with one main ingredient for each recipe I post, sharing details that will hopefully educate and inspire you to be more adventurous right along with me!
